Daily

  • Read the Health and Safety logs and checklists from the night before, and follow up on any questions or observations that need further attention.
  • Check the clock plots and adjust clocks as needed
  • Make sure all operations and upcoming events are logged or noted in the SDO Operations Calendar as needed.
  • Update AIA and HMI tracking documents as needed

  • Update the event clocks in the JSOC-IOC.
  • Schedule timed scripts for weekly calibrations for AIA and HMI, if not already scheduled, and enter cal times in the SDO operations calendar.
  • Check the SDO operations calendar for any upcoming events or maneuvers, and make sure AIA and HMI are prepared.
  • Attend the JSOC weekly meeting at 1:30 PM PST.
  • Check that the AIA cals ran smoothly.
  • Check that the HMI obs-mode flat ran smoothly.
  • Attend the FOT weekly meeting at 10 AM PST.
  • Check that the rest of the HMI cals ran smoothly.
  • Update files on the JSOC Calendar page, including the Google calendar
  • If next week is an HMI detune week and calibrations have not been scheduled, look up the correct time to run the detune and record it in the observer's log to assist other operators.
  • Write up and send out the AIA and HMI Weekly Reports. Upload the reports to the team pages. Early mission reports are in the binders in the JSOC-IOC.

  • Make and post the GT/PZT bi-monthly cal file.
  • Reboot JSOC workstations
  • Update the workstation tracking list.
