Meeting Notes: Tuesday, November 29, 2011
In Attendance: Emma, Jake, Rock, Jesper
- Bus current
- The jumps in bus current are likely due to binning errors. Emma will bug Rock to look
into this, because he wrote the IDL code for the websites initially.
- Bus Voltage
- Jake noted that eventually we should expect to see the eclipse season dips in
voltage drop even lower as the battery wears out. Hopefully this will not be for a
long time.
- Door Mechanism
- The door mechanism temperature is climbing slowly as the dorr mechnism surface treatment degrades.
- Focus plots
- The offset plot becomes more scatteres with sunspots because the sharpness
algorithm gets confused. Therefore the focus determination is really only accurate
to +/- 1 focus step.
- Forward Temperature
- The forward temperature is climbing slowly. The window is slowly degrading,
changing the temperature distribution (which affects the focus), so we have been
periodically increasing the temperature, to drive the focus down. The front window
degradation should have stabilized, ut we will keep asjusting the temperatures about
twice a year.
- Oven Temperature
- We should try plotting with symbols, smoothing, or binning.
- PS delay
- We speculated that the downward trend in PS 3 may be due to general "wearing in" of the motor.
- AI: Jake will discuss the downward trend in delay times with Dave Akin.
- Shutter Exposure Time
- We discussed the best way to plot this parameter. Suggestions were to plot the
difference between the emasured time and commanded time, and to plot the two shutters
separately. AI: Emma will play around with the plots with input/feedback from Rock.
- WT delay
- We noted that step size increases by a factor of 2 for each tuner.
